Buell Blast Customized – ‘Franken’blast | Desmobibu
Why is it exciting?
Because: Where there is a will, there is always a way.
This awe-inspiring piece of art was all done in an apartment in Chicago.
The story: Alex, who worked as a dental technician in Romania and customized hill climb cars and custom Ducatis in his after hours, was rightly pushed by his friends to go the US to expose the immense talent he holds within.
He then moved to Chicago. In Chicago, Alex started working as an assistant to a carpenter and started customizing the motorcycles from inside his apartment, the story also says he would take offs from work to create this machine people can ‘aww’ about.
What all did he edit in the Buell Blast?
Buell Blast is a single cylinder 427 cc motorcycle. And picture below tells the transformation the motorcycle went through.
The edits include loads of changes along with some parts that were shipped to Alex from Romania as he could not source them in Chicago.
The most exciting edit is the headlight section. A unit from Chasis Design Company based out of California.
Other edits included:
Chassis: Buell XB swingarm, brake setup and rear shock borrowed from Buell 1125
Front: Handle bar, Biltwell Grips and a phone mount
Front Wheel: Harley V-Rod (set to run on a single brake)
Rear: Under the seat LED tail light
Rear Wheel: Buell 1125
Tank: An Aluminium 1 gallon tank
Performance: A Dyno-Jet kit (pre-installed by pre-owner), a Uni-filter and an Exhaust
